The Expanse

The outer reaches of the cerebral cortex,

Vast intricate circuits intertwine.

Waves of knowledge carry forward,

Jointly infused with the spine.

Immense power of the controlling hub,

With power to make a change.

Growing and flowing like impressionist artwork,

Growing and flowing like a beautiful image.

It grows to an unprecedented scale,

Where does the old end and the new begin?

What mysteries lie in its realm and,

The expanse of knowledge it carries within?

Let Me Ask You

Let me ask you,
Would you close your eyes and count to ten?
Would that make the pain go away?

Let me ask you,
Would the sun shine brighter if it went away, those memories?
Would you be a different person then?

Let me ask you,
Would you be less stronger if you didn’t know how to deal with pain?
Would it be more difficult for you then?

So let me ask you,
Is it the pain that you are running away from, or the inability,
To handle that pain?
Why don’t you ask yourself that?

A Poem to Remember You By

I ask myself this question,
Was it you who entered my dreams,
Or was it my own consciousness
That made me think of you.

Was it your smooth touch,
Your heavenly laugh and your,
Bewitching smell that
Stayed with me all those years?

Or was it your soul that,
Connected and reattached,
With me time and again
For fulfilling its purpose.

I like to think that if there were,
Enough barriers to keep me away from you,
That there were still not enough barriers
To keep away our love.

I like to think that even though,
Our bodies couldn’t make it through,
Our connected souls
Couldn’t keep us apart.

And so I hope these unclear boundaries,
Between us never end,
And that we continue to live our
Sole lives inseparable.

Everlasting Memories

Overflowing memories skim past the daylight,
Washing away the weight of the present.
Like an aura, blazing towards infinity
Casting forth undying reminiscence.

Together, binary memories swirl,
Like two stars dancing beyond time.
Beyond reason and beyond limits,
Into an oblivion that is beyond divine.

Memories last forever and what is yours,
Will stay yours in your consciousness.
One thing that never fades, never weakens,
Like an earthly gift of eternal bliss.

Eiffel

Beneath light and dark shades,
I see luminous entities
Showering down from heaven,
And onto the magnificence
A gargantuan structure
A place of divinity,
That lays ahead of me.

Stop

Everything feels very quiet,
My lips are moving but I can't say anything.
It has passed all boundaries,
It has passed all that is humane.
Everything isn't as genuine,
The way I used to see it, but now I can't unsee.
Stop it this moment!
Stop it right away!
Poverty is what has flourished,
Terror is amidst us everyday, our day to day lives.
What did just happen?
Don't let this happen.
I seek for your sympathy,
We can prevent only what we choose to prevent.
For some air I am choking,
For only some air I am breathing.

The Dream

When my eyes are open
I look into this vast world
Not with gingered eyes
But how it looked in my dreams
Just the way it was.

When my eyes are open
I live to see another day
Another morning sunshine
Cool air to breathe
Good food to eat.

When my eyes are open
I welcome my spirit
To be what it wants to be
Without judgement
Without fear.

When my eyes are open
I can be the change
That I want to see
And I relish
Every single moment.

But when my eyes are closed
My heart beats faster
As it processes all that change
And tells me a story,
A dream that I want to live in
Forever.

How I Lived Through Those Days

Dusty pathways crowded by litterbugs,
Rays shooting through gaps of the hand,
Waiting for the old lover; comfortably seated
With both arms parallel on the sides
We wait for her to come by.
Children playing with small animatronics
Waiting for life ahead; not a dash of worry
On their pure, calm foreheads smooth.
Crying at small mishaps that come by
I still wait for her to come.
She will make me feel happy
After all, I live for another day with her
What will she ask of me? What about these people?
What do they wait for?
Extermination is imminent.

Clockwork

The form of caress that gently follows,
My inner demons that feels so hollow.
I cannot address what speaks to me,
What has been and will always be,
A sight to remember.

It strokes in a way that I do not know,
Like seasons it changes to and fro.
“How do you feel like now” I ask,
“What has happened in the past?”
I do not know.

It slyly turns into subtle madness,
Changing again to rushed sadness.
Even when I begin to see,
Hope that is momentary,
It feels dim.

The heat builds up and does not go,
There is a side that I cannot show.
For it needs to be built up in me,
And in time I will reveal,
It’s clockwork.

And then June makes its way,
Extending summer to another day.
“Winter will come soon though”
“Autumn isn’t really far you know”
I pledge.

With made up memories in my mind,
That speak to me all the time.
I feel sorrow in what I shouldn’t have done,
And look back at how far I had come,
I feel regret.

With open windows on my wall,
In the heated summer I call.
To all those who have been close to me,
Who see the life the way I see,
With remorse.

And in my book I’ll soon write down,
A symbolic passage of what I’m bound.
And I’m going to leave it there and then,
For weeks to come and weeks to spend,
With delight.

Until I find a reason to rise,
That I no longer need despise.
That I no longer have to run,
That I have fears to overcome,
For good.

And winter flashes back through those days,
And brings back good in many ways.
“But June has gone and May will stay”
“Where will you go now” I say,
I’m stuck.

And with those emotions in my mind,
I will have to forgive myself this time.
That what I have done cannot be undone,
And will have to accept what I have become,
With forgiveness.

And the clockwork slowly begins to reveal,
A quiet, gentle side of me.
That was before and holds on again,
And tells me of what I have been,
Careful.

The seasons cycle on and on,
“With no potential harm? Come on!”
I will truly begin to see,
That I’m not a part of what others can’t be,
A lone survivor.

And now every now and then,
I speak up to the existence within,
That is there acceptance in my mind?
That will everything be fine?
I ponder.

And now weeks and hours alone,
Cannot bring back that tale I know.
And with that I bring to adjust,
An old tale that I must,
See be brought out of the heavens doors,
And left in the open floor,
Of time, need and disgust,
And framed onto the warm walls,
Of forgiveness.

Faceless Masks

I look upon each faceless mask,
That ever crossed my wave of emotions.
That has felt so strong and vast,
Like a parabolic explosion.

I want to know how they indulge me,
What leaves me in their control?
In time, I know I will begin to see,
Why they manipulate my soul.

Those feelings are a happening,
In motion, I see them pass right through me.
Those faceless masks are fastening,
Covering my face till I cannot see.

Dream Efflux

The glowing memories of the sweet serene,
That softly welcomes me into their parlour.
That draws me to things I want to see,
And shows me all that my heart desires.

Of things that never happened in time,
Of things that could have changed their way.
And often moments that made me shine,
Those moments that made my day.

I watch that wondrous spell it castes on me,
Like a sudden sweet incantation.
It tells my mind to always be free,
All with life and vivification.

I ponder into those lovely dreams,
That flow through my heart and veins.
They will be conquered one day it seems,
I feel it in the heart it claims.

With every little joy a little boy could find,
Of every little detail my heart could find,
The sweet dreams devour me whole,
And takes a large part of my soul,
And all of this only in my mind.
I lay, as I watch my sweet dreams unfold.

There's a Voice I Hear

Under the clampings
And shattering noises,
Of forgotten things
I do no longer wish to hear,
There is a voice I hear
In my mind

Under the unbalanced reasoning
And misunderstandings,
I hear a voice full of treasuries
Of findings that I have kept,
Oh so well looked after

These are my positivities
My hopes and admirations,
That keep me up in dark
That keeps all my confusion,
Extremely well lit

I ask that thought with doubt
Of whether it is a part
Of my own consciousness,
Or whether it is only a fragment
Of my imagination

And it tells me of the good
That has come up,
That has been with me for long,
And stayed through
All those years

I want to thank it
For that raspy voice had told me
Not to give up
When the time has been
Wrong for me

For understanding that
There is a reason for everything,
And that I constantly need
To be true to myself

That raspy voice has spoken
And it too will die,
The day I stop
Believing in myself
And so the voice has spoken.

A Message from God

May the silent breeze
Touch upon your heart and lips,
And the goodness of your heart
Be known to others.

May smiles mean
Victories to you,
And may you feel more alive
With each passing day.

May innocence
Surround you,
And all your guilt
Be gone.

May hardships be
Obstacles to you,
And you may achieve
What your heart desires.

And if your actions
Bring peace to another world,
May those actions
Be brought back to you,
In another form.

An Epiphany of Greatness

The spider, bending forward
In its subtle clutches of doom
Slithering, chirping and murmuring
As it slides through its closely knit
Palace of no return.

How weary does it look
With its hairy limbs and compound eyes
Lunging out and about
With no fear or any
Form of emotion.

Grasping its victim by the teeth
And spinning the yarn
As it was once taught to
Injecting with venom
And moving free.

With a sudden burst of energy
It spins its many webs
Like filters, for his home
And for protection
Of his many children.

No matter how threatened it gets
It never seems to quit
Or relax or soothe
In its path whatever it sees
Is his, and his to take.

Mera Naam Joker

I dwell among the familiar ways,
A familiar face as any,
The mango man they often call me,
I am not one but one in many.

In my lair, I am the king,
Yet pushed around by hooligans.
I am simple and full of heart,
Yet lost in my directions.

The world is my work, my work is my art,
My life is built on the reaction I get,
Sad I am about this devilish system,
Where there is no hope I fret.

The ringmaster carries the show along,
With a big fat grin on his face,
Devious he is as he steals all the credit,
And blames me for all the menace.

Somewhere high above the platform,
God watches our show with discontent,
And waves at me to play along,
Not sure as to what it meant.

To the world I am a joker doing his job,
A joker and just a simple joker,
But for me, for me I am nothing,
Nothing but a performer,

A performer who knows how to do his job,
A performer who works and achieves the most,
A performer who is deceived and is left behind,
A performer who stands up and has nothing to boast.
And yet, at the end of the day,
Hinding tears behind paint,
It is I, the common man,
Who is laughed at.

Rocks

Like a plethora of diamonds,
Ranging from dusk, smooth
Like velvet, obscure yet bright
Pale, blue and cool.

Sparking and vivacious,
All unlike another
Distant and imaginative
With crystal eyes.

The uncanny jade,
Fremd with powers
And exotic life
Changed, tampered and weather’d.

THE ROAD

Is it I that shall vanquish,
The evil that I see.
Beneath these very veins and,
Worrisome pains,
And find tranquillity?

Or is it the world,
That I once remembered as,
A happy place,
Which I now see,
With uncertainty?

Or is it the leaders,
The people of people,
That once stood for right,
Help people,
Like you and me?

When will this hunger end?
When will this suffering end?
When will I be able to see,
A road that takes me,
Higher than all the boundaries.

To a place where I can live in,
A place where all can live in,
Where there is no caste and religion,
No rapes and murder victims,
I see that place come towards me,
And I wait for you to see it too.

Devour

What defines who you are?
Who you are and what you could be?
It is books that teach you,
To be a better human being.

The pleasure of reading a book,
Can only be compared to the greatest of things.
The story, its drama, its excellence,
And all that excitement that it brings.

Every book depicts a new life,
A new life, a new adventure.
Exotic worlds and faraway lands,
Their unique and exquisite culture.

A book is a medium to travel time,
Some life in every word.
New concepts and ideas,
Of stories you’ve simply never heard.

It talks of wealthy, successful men,
Their power, their choices, their vision.
And all the events that paved their way,
Their mindset and their decisions.

Books continue to mesmerize me,
Evolved me in many different ways.
For many hours I have devour,
Left me engrossed for days and days.

The Test

Millions and millions of years ago,
The world was at its best.
And ever since we came to know,
We were given a test.

A simple test that demanded peace,
To all of the life around us.
Creations of god, the animals, the trees,
And everything else that surrounds us.

God had given us everything we needed,
Everything we aspired.
But on his test,
We thought we succeeded,
And everything just backfired.

Someday

As time flickers by, with every passing moment,
Your mind, your thoughts, your thoughts, your actions,
Never stretch to be complacent.
Never collide to our satisfactions.

Moments define the truths in your life,
Not the way you look, not the way you talk,
Judge who you are and who you might,
Notice all the change you brought.

Somedays shine upon you,
Brings long-lived glory and motivation,
Return of the dominant man you one knew,
Blazing forth without hesitation.

Somedays rain upon you,
Brings grief and sadness to no limits known,
Finds that inner-strength you never knew,
Leaves you collapsed, alone.

Somedays bring heat,
That torch up that fire of agony,
When everything in the world brings you to your knees,
Defiance feels heavenly.

Somedays hail upon you,
When the mind sees the perfection,
Of all that is in view,
And one’s heart is worth rejection.

Somedays dawn upon you,
Give you hope for all that is to come,
When all your dreams become true,
And you think you’re the only one.

Somedays are hard to remember,
Those days are simply forgotten,
Although they change your life forever,
As you bow down before them.

Somedays overshadow you,
As the cool wind begins to stir.
Your life comes into view,
As the sky begins to obscure.

And then comes the time when,
Your broken and beaten down,
Enforcing to never change then,
Hoping that,
Someday, somehow you will realize,
That this world has a meaning,
Opening a new chapter in your life,
Those days will teach you,
To be a better human being.
