Let Me Ask You

Let me ask you,
Would you close your eyes and count to ten?
Would that make the pain go away?

Let me ask you,
Would the sun shine brighter if it went away, those memories?
Would you be a different person then?

Let me ask you,
Would you be less stronger if you didn’t know how to deal with pain?
Would it be more difficult for you then?

So let me ask you,
Is it the pain that you are running away from, or the inability,
To handle that pain?
Why don’t you ask yourself that?

Sunlight

We’re the first ones to start a new legacy,
They left us before we could complain.
Our wits are our allies, the unknown our enemy,
Others are gone but we’ve decided to stay.

So as long as you and I are comfortable,
In making mistakes and doing what haunts us.
The goal ahead you see, might just be achievable,
We don’t need to keep watching our past.

Because it’s about time that we let the people know,
That we aren’t afraid to stand up on our own.
That we can do anything, our past has to show,
As long as you and I think together as one.

The Dream

When my eyes are open
I look into this vast world
Not with gingered eyes
But how it looked in my dreams
Just the way it was.

When my eyes are open
I live to see another day
Another morning sunshine
Cool air to breathe
Good food to eat.

When my eyes are open
I welcome my spirit
To be what it wants to be
Without judgement
Without fear.

When my eyes are open
I can be the change
That I want to see
And I relish
Every single moment.

But when my eyes are closed
My heart beats faster
As it processes all that change
And tells me a story,
A dream that I want to live in
Forever.

With Parenthood

What may this plain sympathy suggest?
What sugar and spice can treat?
What you have done is for your own best,
To be able to relish my defeat.

I was just mad at you for breaking me
With you taking me to that next level.
Of all of the things I thought I could see,
I couldn't see what you were trying to unravel.

You brought me in a world where I was,
Just a newborn with flickering spirits.
But you challenged me head on as,
I honestly thought I couldn't cope with it.

But with every passing melancholy hour
My mind was simply taking time to adjust,
That there's something really sweet (and not sour)
That can be gained with only your trust.

So thank you for pushing me when I needed it,
When I said that I just can't keep up,
With you
So, Thank you and I will say no more.

No Fear, No Longer

In crucial steps that breaks the dawn,
Of wondrous spells that take me on,
This dark magic will repent itself,
Not me, not from these cocoons,
And catacombs that need help.

There is a state I know of urgency,
What I see does not show mercy,
But for a new dawn I must break free,
Conquer what may seem unconquerable,
And stand high for the world to see.

Fear, is what breaks the toughest of men,
Pollutes the mind and corrupts them,
Those places may seem out of hand,
That dig deeper with a play of mind although,
Have nothing to lather you with harm.

The rain will be sheltered to only those,
That train their minds and balance their woes,
And walk up to fear itself in its worst form,
Without a slight band of hesitation,
And walk slowly right through the storm.

The pain shall rise upon me and break,
There is no power with me at stake,
And fear will perish with the break of dawn,
With me, standing above the ashes,
And I will know that I have won.

Black and White

Between black and white,
Right and wrong,
There are morals,
That I must follow.

Clockwork

The form of caress that gently follows,
My inner demons that feels so hollow.
I cannot address what speaks to me,
What has been and will always be,
A sight to remember.

It strokes in a way that I do not know,
Like seasons it changes to and fro.
“How do you feel like now” I ask,
“What has happened in the past?”
I do not know.

It slyly turns into subtle madness,
Changing again to rushed sadness.
Even when I begin to see,
Hope that is momentary,
It feels dim.

The heat builds up and does not go,
There is a side that I cannot show.
For it needs to be built up in me,
And in time I will reveal,
It’s clockwork.

And then June makes its way,
Extending summer to another day.
“Winter will come soon though”
“Autumn isn’t really far you know”
I pledge.

With made up memories in my mind,
That speak to me all the time.
I feel sorrow in what I shouldn’t have done,
And look back at how far I had come,
I feel regret.

With open windows on my wall,
In the heated summer I call.
To all those who have been close to me,
Who see the life the way I see,
With remorse.

And in my book I’ll soon write down,
A symbolic passage of what I’m bound.
And I’m going to leave it there and then,
For weeks to come and weeks to spend,
With delight.

Until I find a reason to rise,
That I no longer need despise.
That I no longer have to run,
That I have fears to overcome,
For good.

And winter flashes back through those days,
And brings back good in many ways.
“But June has gone and May will stay”
“Where will you go now” I say,
I’m stuck.

And with those emotions in my mind,
I will have to forgive myself this time.
That what I have done cannot be undone,
And will have to accept what I have become,
With forgiveness.

And the clockwork slowly begins to reveal,
A quiet, gentle side of me.
That was before and holds on again,
And tells me of what I have been,
Careful.

The seasons cycle on and on,
“With no potential harm? Come on!”
I will truly begin to see,
That I’m not a part of what others can’t be,
A lone survivor.

And now every now and then,
I speak up to the existence within,
That is there acceptance in my mind?
That will everything be fine?
I ponder.

And now weeks and hours alone,
Cannot bring back that tale I know.
And with that I bring to adjust,
An old tale that I must,
See be brought out of the heavens doors,
And left in the open floor,
Of time, need and disgust,
And framed onto the warm walls,
Of forgiveness.

Faceless Masks

I look upon each faceless mask,
That ever crossed my wave of emotions.
That has felt so strong and vast,
Like a parabolic explosion.

I want to know how they indulge me,
What leaves me in their control?
In time, I know I will begin to see,
Why they manipulate my soul.

Those feelings are a happening,
In motion, I see them pass right through me.
Those faceless masks are fastening,
Covering my face till I cannot see.

An Epiphany of Greatness

The spider, bending forward
In its subtle clutches of doom
Slithering, chirping and murmuring
As it slides through its closely knit
Palace of no return.

How weary does it look
With its hairy limbs and compound eyes
Lunging out and about
With no fear or any
Form of emotion.

Grasping its victim by the teeth
And spinning the yarn
As it was once taught to
Injecting with venom
And moving free.

With a sudden burst of energy
It spins its many webs
Like filters, for his home
And for protection
Of his many children.

No matter how threatened it gets
It never seems to quit
Or relax or soothe
In its path whatever it sees
Is his, and his to take.

THE ROAD

Is it I that shall vanquish,
The evil that I see.
Beneath these very veins and,
Worrisome pains,
And find tranquillity?

Or is it the world,
That I once remembered as,
A happy place,
Which I now see,
With uncertainty?

Or is it the leaders,
The people of people,
That once stood for right,
Help people,
Like you and me?

When will this hunger end?
When will this suffering end?
When will I be able to see,
A road that takes me,
Higher than all the boundaries.

To a place where I can live in,
A place where all can live in,
Where there is no caste and religion,
No rapes and murder victims,
I see that place come towards me,
And I wait for you to see it too.

The Test

Millions and millions of years ago,
The world was at its best.
And ever since we came to know,
We were given a test.

A simple test that demanded peace,
To all of the life around us.
Creations of god, the animals, the trees,
And everything else that surrounds us.

God had given us everything we needed,
Everything we aspired.
But on his test,
We thought we succeeded,
And everything just backfired.

Unheard Whispers

Hear them, feel them, taking their stand,
Tumbling down as they fall.
Fear them, when they, leave this land,
No one heard their last call.

Mankind rose, utter destruction,
Others shan’t survive.
This world, its balance, would all malfunction,
Destruction would overdrive.

No one ever heard their say,
No one ever heard their cry.
But we will go on on our ways,
Ignorant, left to die.

Their talks are full of meaningful things,
Some life in every word.
Not complex, as to what it brings,
Listen to the whispers unheard.

Broken Arrows

The battle had ended long before,
Their mighty wrath had shown itself.
For now, the taste of defeat they bore
Had reached a place too far to tell.

How hard had they tried to reach the top,
How far had they gone to shine.
Dangers came and did not stop
There was no holding back this time.

People had warned them and told them not to go,
But the army was entangled in its pride.
And now their fate had regretlessly shown
What it always had in mind.

Evil spun its dreadful webs ,
And had no mercy on their opponents.
With eerie swords and ghastly steps
They trod towards the army like rodents.

The army, iron-hearted, fearless and bold,
Standing tall in their world of lies.
Had walked the fields in the night so cold
Only to be caught up in their own demise.

The night’s mist had given way to the diabolical game,
Where the old oak trees had turned dry.
Even the barren land could not sustain
The horrors it could not have denied.

In the intense battle that came across,
Their pride showed no good.
The army suffered a tragic loss
And evil laughing, triumphantly they stood.

Massacre, evil had left behind,
Perhaps what they had deserved.
Response of the twisted mind
Had already been served.

Evil moved away, out of sight,
Leaving behind excruciating pain.
In that terrible foggy night
Everything was lost nothing to gain.

Alas! Their bodies lay in despair,
Taking in their last few breath.
Dark earth engulfing them, like graves that care
Now victims to the slow, steady death.

Broken arrows lay close to them,
Signifying something they should have known from the start.
Disloyalty, greed and useless bragging,
Like broken arrows, they were torn apart.
For the power is always overwhelming.
